The artist Astrojaxx® (aka producer/songwriter Ryan Jacob®) has played the piano since he was three and is classically trained. Ryan is British American and lives in Los Angeles.
His musical interests span all genres with an emphasis on pop and EDM. He also has an interest in jazz and plays keyboards in a jazz band.
Ryan was honored to have been selected by The Recording Academy|GRAMMY Museum to participate in their signature music production and audio engineering summer career tracks at the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music.
He is one of the youngest graduates of Scratch DJ Academy, the world leader in DJ education and training, and has been performing as a professional DJ since he was 13. Ryan has been mentored by multi-platinum and GRAMMY-nominated engineer (Steve Aoki/J Balvin/Diplo) Luca Pretolesi at Studio DMI.
Ryan was accepted by exception at age 14 to attend Berklee College of Music during the summer to study music production and keyboards. While attending high school, he studied music production at NYU|Steinhardt, songwriting and performing with Ableton Live at Berklee, and obtained his Avid Pro Tools Expert Certification.
His debut single "Back To You", released at age 14, was premiered by YourEDM. The track received outstanding reviews and charted at 23 on the NACC Top 30 Electronic Chart. It also charted in the Top 10 on ten stations, including Number 1 at WCSF and KBSU.
His release of "Universe" with Mechi Pieretti, charted at #9 on JOOX 'What's New', alongside Sam Smith, Beyonce, and NAS. His subsequent release of "Universe Acoustic" was featured by Billboard and on Spotify New Music Friday Latin.

Ryan is now focused on songwriting collaborations and producing pop music. He is presently furthering his music industry education, studying for his BFA in Recorded Music at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
